If you’ve been following my FB, you know it’s really a horrifying 1 month for the family. The boys took turns to fall ill, 2 cycles, and they again took turns to be admitted into the hospital. Just when mummy thought she had seen the light, off we go, into yet another tunnel. But we’re not depressed, we’re not suppressed, we rely on our daily feeds of God’s word to bring us through..!
It started with Jayvier, falling very ill, he had fever for 16 days before admitted. 4 doctors could not tell what’s wrong and kept giving him antibiotics. His PD returned from holidays and admitted him straight away. It was pretty disappointing when she said that he should have went in long ago!
He stayed in the hospital for a total of 6 days…can you imagine?! He got pretty depressed by day 4 and doctor gave us permission to bring him out for 3 hours in case he cant hang on for another day or two. Poor boy, he cried and asked to be home.
In between Jayvier’s stay, Jayson got admitted as well. It was disheartening for us, the 2 brothers lie side by side in the ward! Jayson was diagnosed with stomach flu, kept vomiting non-stop. It was his first hospital stay, first drip….being only 9 months old, he screamed like mad, i cried too….
I stayed with them the 3 days Jayson was there since i’m his main food supply. It’s a nightmare but we’re glad they were both discharged on Monday..
Then on Wednesday, we were dealt with yet another blow. Jayden was down with stomach flu too, and hence admitted to the hospital. The nurses at Mt A were surprised to see us again, this time, the usually bubbly big brother’s turn. I cried out to God, hoping to get an answer as to when all these will end! I then saw a verse Psalm 112:7 “
They do not fear bad news;
they confidently trust the LORD to care for them.
“ Till now, this verse kept me going…
Jayden is looking better now, I just came back from the hospital. We’ve been through a lot this month, and very stretched indeed but we’re not defeated! We’ll not surrender to the Superbugs, and i boldly declare our God’s word against it! We trust in You, God. Do keep praying for us if you’re reading this, we are seeing some light again :)
