The Long Weekend Starts Today (2)
The highlight of the day would ofcourse be the Luge and Skyride! The last time we came, Jayvier only sat on the skyride because he’s barely 2 years old! This round, he can ride with us too! Jayden was actually tall enough to ride on his own but Da Daddy was not so sure about his ability to control the Luge so he rode with us again ;)
We were equally excited! I love this ‘need for speed’ feeling..HAHA!
Thank God it wasnt a long wait! The boys waited patiently and their patience was rewarded..!
Unfortunately i’m unable to take any pics during the Luge ride but to put it simply, it’s FUN! And after that, we took the skyride back to the ‘top’. It was way cool, though Jayvier was a bit jittery!
My guys “)
With me!
The view behind us…NICE!
Nice! The kids kept asking when we’ll be back again…! It’s fun..go do it again!
The Long Weekend Starts Today (1)
Initially we wanted to go ‘somewhere’ this long weekend, but Da Man was really not in favor of going Malaysia so we’ve come up with a series of activities we can do as a family! It’s gonna be some ‘Local fun’ :) and perhaps like what Sherry said, boost our own economy! Ha…
So today, we brought the kids to Sentosa! We have never been to the Butterfly & Insect Kingdom so probably it’s a good place to start! The boys were excited as they have been learning about insects in school, and the thought of butterflies surrounding them really thrills them!
It’s a little pricey, $16 per adult, $10 per kid (3 yrs and above). After this trip, i dont know when we’ll ever come back again! Seriously, i think the kids were a bit disappointed too.. (and yes, i wondered why the first thing that greeted us was a star tortoise!)
”It’s real!”
It was a relatively small place, but the collection of butterflies was impressive. Yeah they were all flying all over… just like the ‘Fragile Forest’ in the zoo…we thought the Zoo did a better job..
I think adults are harder to please…the kids are not so bothered about the collection, or the size of the enclosure…as long as it’s somewhere new, with something to see, they are happy…and as long as they are happy, we are happy..
Checking out the life cycle of butterflies…real specimens!
Pitcher plant… i used to love them..
Let’s give this place some credits… the museum is the part where it’ll score points! It has a really good collection of specimens and we did enjoy this part!
Rhino beetles..they seem to have a lot of these!
Daddy and babe :)
Spideys kept in jars…
Thousand legged worm..
Can hardly see anything!
yup this is the one..
Dragonflies
Stick insect..
Checking out some butterflies..
Interesting indeed!
I wouldnt say it’s all a wasted trip for the kids do learn some stuff like how to differentiate moths and butterflies..the life cycle of butterflies..etc. Maybe mummy is just too picky ;) Or perhaps it’s worth a go when there’s some 30% discount or something? I dunno… :)
